Volunteer drivers wanted

23 Jan, 2012 01:03 PM
KINGSTON council is looking for volunteer drivers to help deliver meals and provide transport to medical appointments for eligible residents.

The Delivered Meals program provides a nutritious daily meal to more than 650 frail or disabled residents, helping them to stay living in their own homes for as long as possible.

Volunteers pick up meals about 10am and the delivery route takes about 1½ hours to complete. Volunteers need to be available for at least one day a week and drivers receive a petrol allowance.

For more information, call 1300 653 356.
