KINGSTON residents and mayor John Ronke are pleased the Victorian and Civil and Administrative Tribunal rejected an application for two apartment towers on Balcombe Road in Mentone.
Mr Ronke described the decision as a “win for the community” after council received more than 160 objections.
The proposal was for 191 apartments in one eight-storey and one 12-storey building.
Developer Pace declined to comment.
